Braedan Institute of Education for Witches and Wizards

Introduction

Deep within South England, surrounded by greenery is a place called Braedan. Ever wondered where the worst of the worst go? Braedan Institute of Education help young students grow into their magic, encouraging Dark Arts wherever possible.

Braedan Institute of Education for Witches and Wizards: A History

Braedan Institute was first started just a few of centuries ago, in the turn of the millennium. When Raghnall Braedan decided to go against societies ways, people in his society had disagreed with Hogwarts, Beaubatons and Durmstrang seemed the way to go. Durmstrang received competition in 2000, present day 2203. After persuading a few wizards of his age and with similar beliefs they created Braedan Institude of Education for Witches and Wizards. Although they did not put it down anywhere that the school for people interested in the dark arts it was instantly a given as they turned down half a dozen children that they had first come upon. Stong beliefs against those of a lower status they carefully review half-bloods and muggleborn cases for information on the strength of the evil within.

They are ranked one of the highest educators in Britain; on the scoreboards they came 5th for the third time in a row. However, Raghnell Braedan died just into the 60th anniversary of Braedan Institute. Thus leaving his two daughters and his youngest son in charge of Braedan Institute, along with his partners Polly Bottenstein and Frederick Halpsen that had first helped in the beginning. Through these partnerships had come the web of purebloods that were intrigued by the institute. They were many contacts that all sent their children, and in turn recommended the school to their other friends. After Polly and Frederick passed on their share of the Institute to their children was there a slight disagreement. Raghnell had three children, each wanting a part in the Institute, as well as Polly with a set of middle aged sisters and Frederick with his only son.

On the dying wish of Raghnell did the ownership fall to his wife and then their daughter Emily Braedan, after that it shall fall to her daughter Ebony Braedan, with the Headmistresses position. The six children each share a part of the Institute, all staying behind to work alongside their family and friends.

In the first year of being at Braedan Institude, they are given the choice of three houses, Bottenstein, Halpsen and in favour of his wife’s maiden name Dovenbell. Each of these houses. Each is represented by a colour, red, green and blue respectively. The students are sorted within the first week, through a truth potion given to them at the beginning. Showing true intentions, and how they react to normal conversation whether it be with charm, pride or greed.

Dovenbell represents those students who above all else is lustful, resourceful and charming.

Halpsen – Greedy, highly skilled in magic, ambitious.

Bottenstein – proud, creative and cunning.

There are still three students that are connected to the school. These are _____ Halpsen, ______ Bottenstein and Ebony Braedan. They are all in the final year at Braedan Institute of Education and at the center of the inner workings of the school. Funnily enough, each of them was placed in their appropriate house, just like the family member before them, each leading back to the founders, except for Ebony Braedan, she was placed in Dovenbell, for there could not be a house under the Headmistresses married name.

Braedan Village

The surrounding area is made up of Braedan Institute, in the Southern part of England, hidden by many cloaks of magic that any muggle passing it would just believe it to be a field, not a disillusionment charm on top of all of the other spells, hexes and charms placed upon the castle to protect it from do-gooders. The people in Braedan Village consist of many pureblood families, either teaching at the castle, or just their for their child(ren), it is not a place alot of muggles, muggleborns would like to roam, even halfbloods have to pluck up their courage. Students are allowed anywhere around the village, but the younger ones best be careful, wizards and witches don't like them poking around where they're not wanted.

The plot

Since the uprise of Voldemort and his unfortunate downfall, Braedan Institute consists of what few blood relatives were left after the deaths of so many deatheaters. Their names no longer exist, having married and changed their names so as to create a new life, under a bed of lies. Originally Braedan Institute was first created by the witch and wizards to bring up an army of witches and wizards to finish what Voldemort started. Unfortunately with his death, his children no matter how strongly they felt about this plan realised that the many flaws would have to be overcome before they could go about destroying mudbloods and bloodtraitors alike. No matter how much they wanted to.

Slowly they are building up a stronger base through their graduates, their children following in their footsteps. Just you wait. They'll be coming.
