Rules since 04.01.09

Applying

1. Please register as your chosen character, for example 'Ebony Braedan' not 'xBI47633x'. If you have registered under a username that needs changing, simply explain to an admin and they will change it for you.

2. The canon list is the only list with any and all characters that can be applied for. No negotiating.

3. This takes place in 2203, so no one from the Harry Potter era would be directly connected to anyone from that universe.

Please be careful about adding information about canons, please speak to an admin if you wish to add any information concerning important canons in the Harry Potter universe. Important canon characters are for example, The Blacks, The Lestranges, The Malfoys, The Notts, The Crabbes, The Crouches, The Dolohovs, The Goyles and The Bulstrode family.

The Potters are by no means allowed to be linked to any character at Braedan.

4. If the application is not finished within two weeks, the person shall be given a warning and an extra week to complete the application.

5. The canon list shows fourth year, fifth year etc. This means that on your application their age should also be for the correct year.

6. There are various abilities/species present at Braedan Institute and are listed below. These are the only abilities/species allowed at Braedan Institute:

• Metamorphmagus
  

You must receive permission from admin to have a special ability or be another species. It is one special-abled character per person, and no more.

Also, please note that in a Pureblood society, other species apart from the purest of wizards and witches are regarded with caution. They can be cast out and for that reason, alot of them would keep their species/ability very quiet.

Characters

7. There is a limit to up to two characters. To apply for a third character, permission must be granted by an admin. After that, all accounts must have at least 400 posts to apply for a fourth character, 500 posts for a fifth character and so on.

Posting

8. Do not post anywhere apart from the chat-box and the 'Pending Applications' forum, if your application has not been accepted.

9. No one line posts, please understand that anyone can find it difficult to reply to a short post. A paragraph at least please, but there is no limit!

10. All posts in third person.

11. As it is based upon Harry Potter and of course most of the students at Braedan Institute are pureblood, muggle items are rarely seen. No one is really going to be playing around on iTunes.

12. This forum is PG-13, this means that everyone must be at least 13 years old. This also means that excessive profanities and anything past intimate kissing is prohibited. Anyone posting past the PG-13 barrier shall be pm'ed and asked to change their post, otheriwse we shall delete it. If someone is found to be under the age of 13, admin shall take strict action.

13. Do not double post or 'bump' a topic. If anyone does, the extra post shall be deleted.

The Chatbox

14. The Chatbox located at the top left side of the site, is OOC. This means that unless it has been stated clearly to all present by a moderator or admin it cannot be changed into a valid roleplay.
If people abuse the chatbox - excessive swearing, rudeness they shall be warned and temporarily banned from the chat box.

15. Anyone 'spamming' the chatbox and/or disrupting other users shall be IP banned from the chatbox.

Other

16. Rules can and will be added by an admin at any time.
