School Rules

Entering The Attic at anytime, even with a staff member is strictly prohibited for health and safety reasons.
The prefects bathroom, is as the name suggests, for prefects only. Anyone found in this bathroom who is not a prefect shall be given a detention and sent to the Headmistress.
The Staff Room is for staff only, no student is allowed to enter past the door.
Anyone found in The Deep Lake, shall be rescued and sent to the Headmistress, with detention for a week.
Any alcoholic products are prohibited any found in a students possession shall be confiscated, and their parents notified.
Any weapons, other than wands shall be confiscated.
Improper use of magic outside of a classroom, in a public place or anything other than the students own common room is prohibited.
Proper manners should be used about the Institute, if a student is found bad-mouthing, making rude gestures or caught insulting another person in anyway they shall imediately be sent to the Headmistress.
Students must respect and obey the staff at Braedan Institute of Education.
Students are asked to read the rules carefully and obey them.
Any student found loitering in the hallway, shall be given a detention and sent off to the correct lesson, to be forced to explain in front of the class what they were doing.
The curfew during the school week, is 8pm for years 1-3. 9pm for years, 4-6 and 9:30pm for seventh years.
Everyone must be in their own common room by 8pm.

Dress Code

Muggle clothing is strictly prohibited, any muggle clothing found in a students possession shall be confiscated. The student shall be notified, before the clothes are destroyed.
Only proper wizarding robes are permitted around the castle.
There is a uniform at Braedan Institute of Education, it is used for the following reasons, for no one to penalize another student for their choice of clothing, to look respectable and smart while in an educated environment. Therefore, black skirts, no shorter than 7 inches shall be worn by female students, as well as a blouse and the male students are permitted to wear black trousers with a black belt. The blazer is worn by all Braedan Institute students, to show the mark of the school, if a student is seen not wearing it at a public event, they shall be forced to retrieve it.
Only during the weekends are students allowed to wear their own clothing, made by magical beings only.
Proper footwear must be worn during the school week and in bad weather conditions. E.g. Rain, snow, sleet, hail, thunderstorms.
The correct clothing must be worn for the correct season. Ex. Scarves and hats in winter.
Anyone found to have a cold or worse, shall imediately be sent to The Infirmary.
Students shall respect and obey any order given by a staff member on a punishment.
Physical violence is strictly prohibited. Wands are more useful
